Why is there no abundance of fics where Balinor is alive in canon…AU canon? Or at the very least, a moment when all cards are revealed and Arthur realises that Balinor is a man worth Merlin’s tears?
Merlin has so much unresolved emotional baggage, I don’t even know how he can stand to be in Camelot. If Hunith dies, that’s the last straw—realistically.
